Chapel

I reframes images from the collective unconsciousness, transforming superheroes in hybrid creatures. Their bodies inhabited, are surrounded by a revealing emptiness. Through these mutant images, a real multiple reveals itself, mixing metaphysics, initiating quest...

I paint inspired by Francisco de Zurbarán's painting "Christ on the Cross" introduced into the body of a humanoid hybrid.

I paint inspired by Carl Heinrich Bloch's painting "Resurrection of Christ" introduced into the body of a humanoid hybrid. I work on wood prepared which I paint with acrylic and oil paint. I finish with gold leaf and a ring attached to the back which allows it to be hung.

The religious icon hangs without being permanently stucked.

For the chapel, I use the laser cutting machine to cut the pieces of wood and Plexiglas. I assemble and sticked these different elements like a model kit. An interactive electrical system allows a play of light like a pinball when a coin is inserted into a money box.

Optionally, the chapel is designed to be transportable on the back. I also combined it with a costume and a mask for artistic performances.
